Words cannot express how very much I love this series. Each book seems to have a formula, but the adventure of following these women on their respective journeys never ceases to amaze me. Each of these Destiny residents is so different, but the bonds of friendship and small town living tie them all together beautifully.
I actually started this series with #2, Sugar Creek. At the time, I did not realize it was book 2 in a series and it looked like something my mom would like. It was also available for free at the store I work for, so I grabbed it to give to her. Sadly, I went to visit and left the book at home, but ended up reading it when I ran out of anything else to read in the house. I gobbled that book up and began hunting for more. I found Whisper Falls on one of our shelves and checked it out, and shortly after, Holly Lane came in on our truck.
I was so devistated after Holly Lane that I did a search for the release of the next book and discovered I had actually missed #1. So, here it is, February of 2012 and I JUST read the first book in this series that I adore. It was a little heartbreaking since I new going in how certain relationships were going to end, but learning more about Jenny and Mick was wonderful. Before this book, I wasn't quite as attached to them since they were kind of off in their happy married world. One Reckless Summer definitely breathed new life into these characters and I love them so much more for the experience.
Personally, I can't WAIT for Willow Springs to be released. Amy has spent 4 whole books trying to hook her friends up with Logan Whitaker and it's about time those two go together. I feel like the road is going to have a lot of twists and turns, but with everything else in destiny, it will totally be worth the ride. If you haven't started this series yet, hurry up! There are only 5 months until the newest one come out, and you better be caught up. Until then, let me be the first to Welcome you to Destiny, Ohio where nothing is quite as it seems.... :)
