Everything has been leading to this moment. The future of her entire world rests in her hands—if she’s ready to fight for it.
A wonderful conclusion to this series! I can't say too much because it will give everything away.
Wendy has grown so much from the kind of bratty girl we met in the first book. She has truly embraced her role as Princess of the Trylle and gives all over herself to her duty. Her mother is sick, so she must begin to step into the roll of Queen, which she will one day inherit.
Her father, King Oren is closing in, and who knows how much time they have to stop him. Wendy's choices will either lead her people to prosperity or ruin, and time is running out! With the help of her amazing friends, Wendy begins to move her people toward what she feels will be a brighter, richer future, but the the dark shadow of the Vittra looming closer, some Trylle aren't so sure about their new Princess.
I loved the way Amanda Hocking tied up all the character's relationships at the end of this book. I appreciate the way she slowly wove everything together, and how Wendy made her decisions. She actually thought them through, she looked at everything and realized which things worked and which didn't. As a reader, there are a lot of times, I feel unfulfilled with the direction the author chooses to take in the end. Not here, I felt as if my heart grew and changed with Wendy's and I could truly see the world through her eyes.
If you have been waiting for this book like I have, you will NOT be disappointed. This may be my favorite book yet, and I did love all three. If you haven't discovered the series yet, you should run out and get Switched. You definitely won't be sorry. These books have everything, and they don't get too long winded. We get into the heart of the story every time. 5 stars for the series, for sure! :D
I am SO glad that I picked these books up, you will be too!
